Major credit cards (Visa,
MasterCard, AMEX or Discover), corporate checks, and money orders are accepted.
If payment is made by credit
card, full payment is expected at the time contract is signed. If paying by
check or money order, 50% is due at time contract is signed and the balance due
thirty (30) days prior to the date of your event. A copy of the credit card and
billing address of the credit card must be included upon execution of the

3.00% will be added to the
price of each ticket.
Gratuity is a sum of money
tendered to Down the Line Rooftop’s workers for a service performed or
anticipated. Gratuity is automatically added to contracted groups, corporate
outings, and buyouts, at 12% of the pre–taxable total of your bill. Additional
gratuity for excellent service is always appreciated, but not expected.
For all other guests and
contracts, gratuity is not included in your ticket price. However, our staff
does work for tips, and gratuity given to them day of the event is greatly
Upon request, gratuity may
be added to your contract. Please inform your DTL agent who will be able to
accommodate you. Gratuity is split between service staff, supervisors,
security, kitchen staff, and other employees as deemed necessary. Labor charges
are taxable, while the gratuity is not.
Entrance will require a valid state driver’s license, state ID card or government ID from all people entering the rooftop. Guests are also required to be 21+ or accompanied with their parent or legal guardian.
Tickets are required for
entry into DTL. Game tickets are issued via email after contracts have been executed
and payment in full has been made. The number of guests that you specified in
your contract will all need their individual ticket to gain access to DTL
Rooftop the day of your event. Tickets are scanned at our main entrance and can
be presented via paper ticket or PDF on any compatible mobile device.Tickets are non-transferable. Name of ticket holder must match the valid photo ID of guest.
Attendees may enter the premises one (1) hour prior to game time. Food &
Beverages are served at that time.
Entry is in the rear of the
building on the 3625 side.
Beverage service will begin one (1) hour prior to game time. Beverages include
domestic and premium beer, red and white wines, a variety of soda, iced tea,
lemonade, and bottled water. PLEASE NOTE THAT CITY OF CHICAGO ORDINACE
PROHIBITS THE VENDING OF ALCOHOL AFTER THE SEVENTH INNING. Alcoholic beverages
will be served until the end of the seventh inning, and, in the event of a game
delay, total alcohol services will last four (4) hours from doors opening.
Guests will be provided with soda and water for the remainder of the game. All
drinks will be served in plastic cups. GUESTS MAY NOT BRING THEIR OWN
BEVERAGES. Guests are subject to search and verification of photo
identification in order to comply with all applicable liquor laws. DTL
management reserves the right to discontinue serving alcohol to any guest or
guests at their discretion.
Food service will begin one (1) hour prior to game time. Food includes an
All–U–Can Eat style cookout that includes burgers, hotdogs, brats, chicken
sandwiches, Italian beef, veggie burger, a selection of cold salads, and a
large variety of chips, and dessert. Please note that hot food will be served
until the middle of the eighth inning, and, in the event of a game delay, the
end of food service will at the discretion of the DTL management.
EXITING THE ROOFTOP:
Attendees may stay on the rooftop deck no longer than thirty minutes after the
game is over.
GENERAL RULES OF THE
No glass, peanuts, or bare
feet allowed on the rooftop. Guests will not be admitted to the rooftop with
any outside beverages, and no–one will be permitted to leave the rooftop with
any alcohol. Any inappropriate behavior, including throwing objects off the
rooftop, use of profanity, disrespectful behavior toward staff or other patrons
or actions that, in the opinion of management, endanger the safety of guests,
staff, and persons surrounding the building, or interfere with other patrons’
enjoyment of the Rooftop, will result in immediate and permanent ejection of
the offender(s) from the rooftop without refund and may result in criminal
charges being filed. No advertising is allowed on the rooftop.
If the Chicago Cubs cancel
the game before its scheduled start time then there are 3 options for
1. Use your ticket on the date
of the scheduled makeup game (set by the Chicago Cubs)
2. DTL will offer selected make
up games if the previous does not work for you
3. If all else fails then a
refund may be issued, but is at the rooftops discretion.
Please understand that we do
everything in our power to accommodate our guests.
Rooftop shall not be
responsible for any matters beyond its control, including, but not limited to;
denial of City rooftop license, closure by governmental authority of its
existing line of sight into Wrigley Field to view the baseball games, Acts of
God, accidents, and weather conditions, all of which are defined as force
majeure. In the event service cannot be provided due to force majeure, DTL’s
liability will be limited to refund of deposit pursuant to this agreement, and
the guest shall not be entitled to claim any incidental or consequential
Rooftop does not guarantee
any particular sight lines or view of Wrigley Field or the playing field.
Patron acknowledges that the ongoing stadium expansion project or other events
outside of DTL’s control may affect the sight lines or views from the rooftop
and agrees that any change from the current sight lines shall not be grounds
for a refund or discount of the stated price.
Rooftop shall not be
responsible for the presence of obstructions, including, but not limited to
special signage, sound equipment, video screens, speaker stacks and light
towers that may affect the view of the field for baseball games or stage area
for performances from the Rooftop. The presence of construction activities will
not entitle Patron to a discount, refund or rebate of any fees paid or payable.
The Rooftop may, from time
to time, be undergoing improvements to better serve our customers. DTL will use
reasonable efforts to prevent such improvements with interfering with
attendees’ use or enjoyment of the Rooftop. Any areas deemed hazardous due to
ongoing construction may be partitioned from use. The existence of construction
activities will not entitle Patron to a refund of any fees paid or payable.
GAME TIME CHANGES:
The Chicago Cubs reserve the
right to change the starting time of any game. We also reserve the right to
change the starting time of any party when the Chicago Cubs change the starting
time of any game. The designated contact person will be contacted as soon as
possible once the Chicago Cubs announce a starting time change. There will be
no refund for a game in which the Chicago Cubs changes the game starting time.
Rooftop is not responsible
for weather conditions affecting the use and enjoyment of the Rooftop or the
view of the event from the Rooftop. Patron acknowledges and agrees that it
assumes all responsibility and risk relating to adverse weather conditions.
Rooftop reserves the right to restrict use of areas of the Rooftop in order to
protect the health and safety of guests. Unless weather conditions cause the
cancellation of the event, they shall not entitle Patron to a discount, refund
or rebate of any fees paid or payable.
The Rooftop may operate
during special Wrigley Field events other than Chicago Cubs games. The terms
and conditions are the same as what is already specified in this agreement for
The Rooftop deck and
clubhouse are not exclusive to Patron or its guests. Authorized guests of DTL
are also allowed access to the rooftop given the availability of each location
of that game date, even if an event is designated as “exclusive.” Rooftop deck
may sell additional admissions to the rooftop within legal capacity
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
ROOFTOP AND PATRON AGREE
THAT SHEFFIELD ROOFTOP, LLC, ITS PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES
(COLLECTIVELY, “ROOFTOP”) SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR INJURY TO
PERSONS OR PROPERTY RELATING TO ATTENDANCE AT THE ABOVE DESCRIBED EVENT,
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY DAMAGES CAUSED, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, BY
THE NEGLIGENCE OF ROOFTOP, ITS EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES, CONTRACTORS
OR VENDORS. PATRON SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY INVITEE
ON OR ABOUT THE ROOFTOP. FURTHER, THE PARTIES AGREE THAT ANY DAMAGES ARISING
FROM THE BREACH OF THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE PRICE STATED ABOVE.
